Do you remember what you wanted to be when you grew up? Did you imagine an amazing life full of adventure?
I sure did. Ever since I was five years old I wanted to be an archaeologist and a writer.
Then life happened. Each decision I made led me further and further away from the life that I wanted to be living.
Marriage, motherhood and bills.
These are all wonderful things mostly (except for the bills), but not ‘the’ thing that I dreamed about as a child.
So what did I do about it?
I started writing about journalism and archaeologists. Then I earned (while working) a second degree in Journalism and now I’m nearly finished my first novel.
Why am I telling you all this?
I want you to stop being afraid. Stop doubting yourself. Just start. Plan it out, research it, and prepare for it. Whatever ‘it’ is. The time is going to pass anyway – make sure you fill that time with positive actions towards your goal.
You are capable, worthy and talented. Just start!
